NEW YORK: America's largest cable operator, Comcast, has reported an increase in subscribers and profits during the fourth calendar quarter, thanks to its 'triple pay' bundling of telephone connections, the internet and video services.

Comcast's latest tally of 24.2 million customers exceeded many analysts' expectations. Net profit in Q4 rose to $390m (€299m; £198m), while revenue was up 30% to just over $7 billion.
