Coca-Cola is expected to add a further account move to its global agency realignment, by handing Foote, Cone & Belding in Chicago the $25 million Dasani water business.
The duties had been expected to stay at independent shop Berlin Cameron & Partners in New York, which also handles Coke’s Mello Yello, Pibb and Nestea Cool accounts.
However, it is thought marketing boss Steve Heyer has decided to shift the business to recompense FCB and its parent Interpublic Group for the recent loss of $350m of PepsiCo duties, moved in part because of the client conflict caused by IPG’s involvement with Coke [WAMN: 24-Sep-01].
Despite two weeks of speculation [WAMN: 28-Sep-01], the client is yet to confirm its agency realignment.
