A seemingly local difficulty between Coca-Coca Great Britain and the Walt Disney Company in the UK could lead to a wider crack in the global giants' relationship.

Coco-Cola has decided to stop production of its Winnie the Pooh Roo Juice, following weak sales since its UK launch in 2002.

The fruit drink, marketed in a tieup with Disney's cartoon characters, was aimed at the under-fives but under voluntary guidelines Coca-Cola does not market directly to children below the age of twelve. Major retail chains began delisting the product last summer.

According to the beverage behemoth, there are no plans to launch any new products with a Disney connection in the UK. However, the company's juice range currently includes Five Alive and Coke is said to be mulling the introduction of its Minute Maid brand in Britain later this year.
