BEIJING: Vehicle manufacturer Brilliance China is planning to sell 3,000 of its sedan models into Europe under the brand name Zhonghua, via an unnamed motor trading firm.

The company, best known for its minibuses, also owns 49% of a joint venture with German luxury automaker BMW that produces BMW-brand cars in China.

Despite an H1 net loss of 113.6 million yuan ($14.3m; €11m; £7.5m), the company expects its Zhonghua brand to capture 3.4% of the sedan market in China by 2008, up from 0.4% now.
