Stockbroking and investment giant Charles Schwab has rationalized its $218 million-plus media planning and buying account with three agencies.
The favored trio are Santa Monica-based independent Rubin Postaer & Associates, plus two Omnicom shops - Creative Media of San Francisco and incumbent lead agency, BBDO Worldwide, New York.
RP&A will handle broadcast media buying, business it formerly shared with San Francisco’s The Media Edge; while BBDO shoulders planning duties. Creative Media is responsible for print buying and planning, previously shared among a number of creative shops.
Schwab’s creative duties and those of its subsidiary companies, remain within Omicom’s fiefdom: shared between BBDO, GSD&M of Austin, Texas and The Martin Agency, Richmond, Virginia.
