The juries for this year’s Cannes International Advertising Festival have been announced.

Presiding over two juries – one for film, one for press and poster – will be Jeff Goodby, founder and co-chairman of San Francisco shop Goodby Silverstein & Partners. Jurors in these categories determine who will win the coveted Cannes Lions.

The three-year-old Media Lions, set up to recognise media planning and buying agencies, will be handed out by a jury headed by John Perriss, chief executive at the newly formed Zenith Optimedia Group.

This year’s awards will be the first to include a direct marketing category, with Rapp Collins Worldwide chairman/ceo Malcolm Speed leading the jury in this section.

Finally, the Cyber Lions, established in 1998 for interactive marketing, will be awarded by a jury presided over by George Gallate, chief executive of Euro RSCG Interactive.
