Cannes will once again host the International Advertising Festival next year.
Festival organisers, who had threatened to shift the event to Barcelona or Venice, have resolved a spat with local officials relating to a five-year deal penned last year, no doubt to the relief of the town's hotel, restaurant and bar owners.
“The decision follows the satisfactory agreement that has been reached between the organisers and the newly elected Cannes administration,” the IAF announced on Tuesday.
The French resort has hosted the annual bash, which attracts over 9,000 adfolk, for nearly fifty years.
