CANNES - Entries for this year's Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival have risen 12.5%, thanks partly to the nontraditional categories, while TV commercials entries fell 2.7%.

The US has most entries in the latter category, while Brazil leads in press and poster submissions.

The week-long event, which begins June 18, has seen entries for Media Lions and Cyber Lions soar. The former are up by 36.2% to 1,466, while the Cyber category has grown 32% to 2,502 entries.
