London-headquartered global telecoms titan Cable & Wireless has struck an alliance with US hi-tech developer Ewireless to market the latter’s #333 wireless phone ad response service across Europe, Japan and North America.

#333 allows wireless phone users to respond to radio ads within seconds of broadcast – free of mobile call costs. Outbound calls are routed via an “e-wireless” call center to the requested advertiser in the callers’ area.

Chicago-based Ewireless has already signed over 2,000 advertisers to its service, among them the American Automobile Association, Comcast Online and Landmark Financial in the US; while in Canada, American Express, Charles Schwab and General Motors are using the facility.
