CROCODILE DUNDEE BACK IN AUSTRALIAN TOURISM CAMPAIGN

News, 22 September 2000

The Australian Tourist Commission, in an attempt to exploit Australia’s current Olympic high profile, is bringing back ‘Crocodile Dundee’ actor Paul Hogan to encourage travel Down Under.

Hogan, a veteran of a similar campaign a decade ago, will work alongside Qantas’ koala mascot in TV and newspaper ads designed by D’Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles in Los Angeles.

The TV campaign, running on cable across the US, features. Hogan telling viewers, “Stop dreaming! C'mon, I've had a lot of fun in your country. How about you come down and have some fun in mine”.
