The latest quarterly Rajar figures released yesterday reveal that 31.5 million people now listen to commercial radio - 566,000 more than the BBC.

London audiences for commercial stations grew during the period to 7.6m listeners – an increase in reach from 73% to 75%. Nationally, commercial radio is at its most dominant among the younger age groups, commanding a record number of child listeners.
