CNBC, the NBC-owned financial news channel for day traders and private investors, has unveiled plans for the US launch next year of CNBC2 – a second 24-hour news channel providing rolling market news and commentary from the US, Europe and Asia.

The original channel can be viewed by about 72 million North American homes plus a further 78m around the world; distribution deals with cable companies will make CNBC2 available to around 10m homes.
