THE ANGLICAN evangelical church of Holy Trinity, Brompton in west London, which last year had an income of £2.3 million, is embarking on a £250,000 ad campaign to convert every 'unchurched' person in England. The campaign will promote the church's 10-week 'Alpha' courses which outline basic Christianity and include the laying-on of hands and speaking in tongues. The courses will be held in local churches and Holy Trinity seeks the aid of every Anglican church in England to distribute letters of invitation to households in their parishes - potentially the largest ever non-commercial doordrop.
