The finale of the fly-on-the-wall gameshow Big Brother attracted Channel 4’s highest ever Friday night audience, according to unofficial figures.
The last two programmes in the series, screened last Friday, attracted 10 million viewers in total - a 56.5% share of the total audience.
An estimated nine million, 46.5%, tuned in for the final hour to see Liverpudlian builder Craig clinch the £70,000 prize. The earlier show attracted 7.5 million viewers.
