Carat, the Aegis-owned international media planning and buying network, is in the late stages of negotiation with German prestige car marque BMW. At stake is the Munich-based carmaker’s $150 million pan-European media buying account – currently handled by a number of different agencies.

Although Carat already provides media services for BMW in France, one problem awaiting resolution is the potential account conflict posed by work the agency undertakes for other car manufacturers.
