US-based credit card company Capital One is looking for creative and media agencies to handle its multimillion-pound UK launch.
The firm, which expects to draw up a shortlist in the next few days, intends to establish a brand profile in the UK. It has previously worked with WWAV Rapp Collins, but wants to expand from its traditional strategy of direct mail into TV advertising.
Capital One recently began a search for a UK brand director to expand its operations into other telecoms and finance areas. It is expected to expand into Europe over the next few years and recently appointed Catherine Doran European chief information officer.
The company is one of America’s top ten card issuers, with 25 million customers worldwide and revenue of $3.9 billion.
