A TV GAME SHOW is being planned by Camelot to support sales of its sagging Instants scratchcard brand. At launch in 1995, sales of Instants hit £40m a week but now languish around £15m. The show, to be broadcast by the BBC if approval is given, will feature scratchcard prize-winners participating in physical games rather than quizzes - a cross, it is threatened, between The Generation Game and Game for a Laugh. Early permission could mean an autumn launch for the show.

The BBC has just given the thumbs down to the proposed game show, having taken a year to reach its decision.
