LONDON - As dominant UK telco BT pursues the countdown to launching its (as yet unbranded) broadband on-demand TV service, it has recruited former Disney Internet Group director Antony Carbonari as director of interactive and commercial media.
Says BTTV ceo Dan Marks: "Carbonari's deep experience of media sales, the branded TV environment and the commercial opportunities afforded by interactive technology will help us to develop and run critical areas of our new consumer television proposition."
Among the other hats worn by Carbonari during his stint with Disney was that of director of sales and distribution for European web properties. He also oversaw managed revenue deals from content licensing, advertising sales and ecommerce.
