London hotshop Mother is to set up a New York office and wants a leading WPP Group executive to head it.

The agency – whose clients include Coca-Cola, Unilever and Orange – is in talks with Andrew Deitchman, global director of marketing communications at WPP’s Red Cell, to launch the shop in the US market.

Boasting a strong creative reputation, Mother is unusual in that it does not employ account executives to oversee its business.
