In a groundbreaking deal, Brazilian advertisers have agreed to pay agencies for their work on pitches.

The National Marketers Association and the Brazilian Advertising Agencies Association have approved a scheme to pay a minimum of $1700 (€1737; £1089) for campaign proposals developed for accounts worth under $167,000, and no more than $10,000 for $1 million-plus duties.

The deal is thought to be the first ever national agreement to pay pitch fees.
