PARIS: Havas chairman Vincent Bolloré has taken a 30% stake in a new venture being launched by a trio of top executives from rival Publicis Groupe's French advertising agency network.

Christophe Lambert, chairman of the Publicis Conseil agency, and Frédéric Raillard and Farid Mokart, co-presidents of Publicis's Marcel agency, are to open their own shop in Paris, to be called Fred Farid Lambert.

Their move follows the departure of Publicis Worldwide's chief operating officer, Rick Bendel, to become group marketing director at UK supermarket chain Asda [WARC News: 06-Oct-06]
