Fortunate foursome Roger Haupt, Craig Brown, Roy Bostock and Richard Fitzdale – respectively chairman/ceo, president/coo, ex-chairman, and quondam-vice chairman of Bcom3 – are waiting with outstretched hands for Dollar-Day when Publicis Groupe formally completes its agreed takeover bid.
Between them they will reap a $300 million (€325.45m; £205.42m) harvest, sown last October when Haupt and Publicis chairman Maurice Levy planned the deal which will propel Publicis to fourth ranking in the global agency league.
Their motive? Nothing as vulgar as pocketing dollars, but to act as a counterbalance to the WPP/Interpublic/Omnicom power juggernaut.
