LONDON - The UK satellite television firm has reported it signed up 40,000 subscribers during the third quarter, taking its total to 8.1 million British customers by March 31.
However, that figure was less than half the 95,000 subscribers that News Corporation-owned BSkyB added during the same period a year earlier.
Revenues for the nine months to March 31 were £3.08 billion ($5.65bn; €4.48bn), a 9% increase on the previous year, while pre-tax profits were £609 million, 12% higher than in the same period in 2005.
