BRIT MEDIA SHOP BUYS INTO JAPAN

News, 08 September 2000

Tempus, the UK-headquartered parent of global media planning and buying agency CIA Group, has acquired an 80% stake in International Creative Marketing, a Tokyo-based market research specialist.

Tempus – which currently has no presence in Japan – will use ICM as a pole to vault into the highly protective market, according to Mark Austin, regional managing director of Singapore-sited CIA Asia-Pacific. It is expected that CIA and Tempus's brand consultancy Added Value will launch in Nippon within the next twelve months.

ICM's current client roster includes Coca-Cola, Kirin, Nike and Nippon Lever.
