BBJ has displaced Universal McCann as Coca-Cola’s lead agency for its £40 million UK media account.
Following a pitch against Starcom Motive, BBJ picked up the media planning and non-TV buying business covering Coke’s entire brand portfolio, leaving McCann with just the TV buying duties.
BBJ benefited from its managing director Tristan Grant’s experience of handling the Coke account at McCann.
At the same time, Wieden & Kennedy in London picked up the £7m creative duties for Diet Coke, while parallel pitches for similar accounts for Coca Cola’s other brands are ongoing.
