BBC Worldwide aims to beef-up its international commercial operations with the appointment of its first advertising agency, US-owned Leo Burnett.
Burnett’s London office, which out-punched Leagas Delaney in a toe-to-toe pitch, will be responsible for promoting BBCWW brands across the globe. Among these are the Teletubbies, Walking with Dinosaurs and Top of the Pops, as well as other unspecified projects.
Saatchi & Saatchi is also believed to have taken part in discussions about the brief.
