In our issue of August 3, WAMN carried a story sourced from Media Week (UK) which reported that BARB was "actively considering" recruiting the likes of Google and Yahoo into its [audience measurement] scheme". Also that BARB had agreed to measure out-of-home viewing.

We are informed by BARB that it has not been in discussion either with Google or Yahoo, nor has it agreed to measure out-of home-viewing. It is however, considering the latter.
