CUPERTINO, CALIFORNIA - Apple Computer sales in the third fiscal quarter have rebounded from a Q2 slowdown. Sales were $4.4 billion (€3.48bn; £2.38bn), up 25% year-on-year.
The company sold around 1.4 million Macintosh computers in the period, up 12% from one year ago. The iconic iPod music player notched 8m sales, a rise of 32% over the same year-ago period and one that has confounded some analysts who had expected a slowdown.
Ceo Steve Jobs says the company is "thrilled" with its performance.
