Final-round pitches in the review of AT&T Wireless’s $400 million account [WAMN: 09-Mar-01] are due to be heard next week.

Still in the race are FCB Worldwide in New York, the same city’s Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide, the Minneapolis office of Fallon and TBWA/Chiat/Day in Playa del Rey, California.

The four finalists have been asked by the client – which intends to spin off from its parent AT&T by July – to summarize their vision of the wireless industry, complete with ideas on mass marketing, promotions and brands, but excluding creative work

The account has been held by the San Francisco office of FCB since 1995. A decision is expected in June.
