LONDON: Aegis Group is set to launch a new digital agency in 2009, to be headed by Niku Banaie, former managing partner of Naked, and Martyn Rattle, chief client officer of Aegis Media, as it seeks to beef up its digital capacity.
As a full service agency, the unit is likely to offer clients a range of creative services alongside more typical digital media planning and buying duties.
The new entity is currently operating under the Isobar Global banner, named after one of the holding group's existing media networks, but will probably be rebranded prior to launch.
Aegis is also expected to restructure two of its other main media networks, Carat and Vizeum, next year with the declared aim of facilitating closer working relationships between online and offline media operations.
Nigel Morris, Isobar chief executive, is thought to be charged with leading the modernisation of Carat and Vizeum, as well as in assisting Banaie in establishing the new agency.
