Adspend Up Again for US Radio

US radio adspend continued its upward trend in August, according to new figures from the Radio Advertising Bureau.

Overall revenues rose 5% for the month, following a 9% jump in July. National sales led the increase, posting a 9% rise in August, with local expenditure climbing 4%.

In the year to date, radio adspend is up 3%, though this is expected to improve with a strong performance in the final months of 2002. The RAB predicts a double-digit surge for the fourth quarter.
