America Online has entered into new long term alliance with leading automotive retailer AutoNation. Its objective is the launch of, a co-branded site that will enable AOL members to buy online the new or used vehicle of their choice.

The joint venture will be part of the AOL Auto Channel, due to go live this fall, on which AutoNation and its licensees have exclusive retail rights. The while, AutoNation will continue to operate its own retail website,, which will also be promoted via the Auto Channel
