UK-headquartered AKQA, the largest internet consultancy in Europe, yesterday announced the global launch of a new marketing and technolology services firm in partnership with San Francisco shop Citron Haligman Bedecarre, US web agency Magnet Interactive and Singapore new media specialist The AdInc [WAMN: 25-Jan-01].

The quartet hope that the new venture, which will keep the AKQA name, will attract global clients who, according to ceo Rick Hadala, are “demanding effective, compelling and consistent communications across a myriad and ever-increasing number of customer contact channels.”

AKQA’a expansion into a global firm is being funded by Accenture – which will supply consulting and integration advice for the newly enlarged firm – and venture capitalist Francisco Partners.
