In the latest twist in the ongoing SAG/AFTRA advertising actors’ strike saga, the Screen Actors Guild is planning to boycott Procter & Gamble in the week commencing October 9th.

The embargo, supported by the AFL-CIO, will target P&G because it has continued to film ads using non-union actors, and, according to a spoke, it is “influential on the [ad industry's] Joint Policy Committee”.

The actors hope that consumers will stop purchasing P&G goods. However, the firm claimed it would do “business as usual”, describing the advertisers’ offer to the actors as “fair and lucrative”.
