On September 11 2002, Walt Disney’s ABC Television network will switch from its normal schedules to devote an entire day’s programming to the first anniversary of the terrorist outrages in New York and Washington.
Says ABC News president David Westin: “This is the major news event of our lives. This is a real opportunity go to back and comprehensively and systematically put together the facts as we now know them, and put them into some perspective.”
Similar plans are also under consideration by NBC and CBS, although is not known whether Rupert Murdoch’s Fox plans to follow suit.
