Total magazine advertising pages continued to grow in number last month, rising 7.1% above the figure for September last year, according to figures from the Publishers Information Bureau. However, this represents a slowdown in growth compared to earlier months this year.
Leading the field, as in previous months, was technology advertising – up by 51.5% in September and 58.5% for the year. The media and advertising category also saw strong growth, with a 33.1% rise in September and 58.4% over the year.
Auto advertising, however, fell 14.9% in September and 10.3% over the year.
