An estimated $80 million in annual billings changes hands with the move by American Home Products of its non-prescription Advil painkillers range out of Y&R Advertising, New York, and into the same city’s Grey Worldwide.

Advil’s sibling product Dimetapp cough syrup, currently spending around $12m a year and also resident at Y&R, has been put up for review although AHP declined to name the contending shops or whether these included the incumbent.

According to a Y&R spoke, other AHP business handed by the WPP-owned agency is unaffected. Grey already handles the client’s Robitussin brand.
