Ad network Young & Rubicam Advertising yesterday announced a number of changes to its senior management.

Stephanie Kugelman, chair/chief executive of Y&R New York since 1999, takes up the newly created position of vice chair/chief strategic officer for worldwide operations at the network.

Stepping into Kugelman’s shoes in New York is Ron Bess, who moves from his current role as chief executive at Y&R division Diversified Communications. Bess’s former post will be abolished, with Diversified agency heads henceforth reporting directly to Y&R chairman/chief executive Mike Dolan.

Finally, Etienne Boisrond was named chief executive for Europe, Africa and the Middle East, replacing Bert Meerstadt, who is leaving to join Dutch railway group Nederlandse Spoorwegen [WAMN: 17-May-01]. Boisrond, formerly Y&R’s regional chairman for Asia, returns after a year’s leave of absence.
