US-based automotive market research specialist Allison-Fisher International has accepted an initial $45 million cash offer from Britain’s United Business Media. The deal also includes additional target-based payments of up to $33.7 million over the next three years.
UBM’s existing North American unit NOP World is the world’s third largest specialist in automotive market research. The acquisition of Allison-Fisher will further boost the group’s presence in the US market.
UBM chief executive Sir Clive Hollick has made no secret of his ambition to become the world’s leading provider of marketing data in the auto, healthcare, media measurement and business information sectors.
Says the noble Knight of his latest buy: “The combination … is a powerful demonstration of what our focused strategy can deliver.”
