One out, one in is the latest score from the Philips Electronics’ $600 million media planning/buying tournament.

Out goes Cordiant/Publicis-owned Zenith Media, licking its wounds and declining to comment; in comes Interpublic’s Initiative Media. The reasons for the switch are unknown.

Survivors in the contest alongside Initiative are US media incumbent Starcom MediaVest (Bcom3), Philips’ European media shop Carat (Aegis Group), MindShare (WPP) and OMD (Omnicom).
