Men’s media group Playboy Enterprises has struck a strategic alliance with web company Terra Lycos to drive more traffic to the Playboy.com website.

Playboy’s online division is developing a new channel to be launched next year within Lycos’ media network, featuring the best of Playboy.com content, merchandise from PlayboyStore.com, and news stories drawn from Lycos’ Wired News.

The deal will cover all aspects of Playboy.com’s revenue, including advertising and e-commerce. The duo will also work on a My Playboy version of the Lycos personalised start page.

Financial details of the agreement have not been disclosed.
