Paris-headquartered global advertising network Havas Advertising has posted billings of $4.2 billion in the nine months to September 30 – an increase of 35% on the same period last year. The figure excludes any revenues from Havas’ recent US acquisition, Snyder Communications.
Despite this, chairman Alain de Pouzilhac insisted that Havas is on schedule to absorb Snyder into its structure: “Although the … acquisition closed only seven weeks ago, we have made significant progress in rapidly integrating the business into ours."
The fastest billings growth (23%) had come from Latin America, reported de Pouzilhac, with North America the most tardy at 9.7%.
He forecast: “With a global footprint, the majority of revenues coming from marketing services, an active acquisition programme and sustainable growth from an expanding and strong client base, we are confident of our superior growth prospects beyond 2000."
