Coca-Cola’s recently launched Sprite, internet portal has signed online currency provider RocketCash to tempt teens to shop in its virtual shopping mall.
Sprite.com, which hosts over one hundred teen-targeting e-tailers, does not honor ordinary credit cards. Instead it will accept only RocketCash codes which are concealed beneath the caps on Sprite bottles.
The promo will run through 2001 during which period there will be over one billion code-bearing Sprite bottles in distribution. In addition to RocketCash codes, the bottles will also feature an instant-win mechanism entitling winners to a free bottle of Sprite.
