Cingular Wireless has handed its $200 million creative and media account to Omnicom’s BBDO Worldwide in Atlanta and New York after a three-month review.

Recently launched Cingular, owned by BellSouth (40%) and SBC Communications (60%), had previously drawn up a shortlist of three agencies for the account. The shops missing out were GSD&M in Austin, Texas, and Atlanta’s West Wayne.
