Motorola yesterday announced the consolidation of its entire global advertising business, appointing Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide’s New York office as sole agency.

Previously, the $150 million account was split between different shops. McCann-Erickson World Advertising of New York handled consumer advertising while Chicago’s Leo Burnett serviced various other products. Earlier this year, Ogilvy One, O&M’s new media arm, was handed Motorola’s interactive account.

A spoke for Motorola said the decision to consolidate the account came after a two-month review.
