Toronto-headquartered Maxxcom, a Canadian company which holds majority stakes in eighteen US advertising agencies, has made its first foray outside North America with the acquisition from the Lowe Group of London-based below-the-line shop Interfocus Network.

The first fruit of the deal is the swoop by Interfocus on Osprey London, part of Osprey Communications, an acquisition that boosts Interfocus’s annual billings by $27 million to a projected $114m.

According to Maxxcom president-ceo Beverly Morden, the two buys enable the company “to present itself as a truly international network”.
