Eager to extend its activities into mainland Europe, UK-based Email Bureau is currently wooing potential investors and venture capitalists to finance the expansion.

The company, which was launched earlier this year, operates two permission-based email marketing services, MyOffers.co.uk and OK-Mail.co.uk. It is the brainchild of chief executive officer Lionel Thain, former ceo of ICD Marketing Services who quit in acrimonious circumstances after its acquisition in January 1999 by Experian.

Says Thain: “The countries we are moving into are ready to embrace permission marketing and have internet penetration and usage levels fast catching up those of the UK.”
