In line with Omnicom’s European management strategy, it has passed control of its wholly-owned BBDO Moscow subsidiary to its indigenous managers.

Heading the shop respectively as group chairman and chief operating officer are former creative director Igor Lutz and ex-financial director Ella Stewart, while group account director Gerry Corish will assume the duties of client services director when incumbent Tara Erickson leaves in December for pastures new but undisclosed.

The Muscovite managers believe the restructuring will “create a less hierarchical and more efficient organization,” while BBDO Europe says the changes mirror its philosophy that local executives should lead its shops rather than expatriates.
