Indigenous agency Beijing Zhongzhu Advertising snatched Pfizer's Viagra business in mainland China from under the noses of multinational giants Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide and McCann-Erickson Worldwide.
Pfizer chose the shop, launched by Wu Qiong eight years back with just $24, because of its insight into the local market where Viagra retails at $12 a pack.
The male potency drug is approved by the Chinese authorities as a prescription-only remedy and the agency has been briefed by Pfizer to liase with state institutions to promote safe sex. and family planning.
