The UK’s largest cable network NTL has forged an alliance with British online auction house QXL.

From this autumn, the deal will enable NTL to broadcast live auction sessions via its interactive TV, digital cable TV, digital terrestrial TV and broad- and narrow-band PC services.

Meantime, QXL is still pondering whether to proceed with its planned acquisition of German rival Ricardo in the light of the latter’s current trading situation [WAMN, 11-Aug-00].
